Underwear Considered is a blog about the layer nobody photographs. Briefs, boxers, boxer briefs, trunks, jocks, swimwear, socks and base layers, covered in the same detail other magazines reserve for watches.

The position of the site is that this stuff matters more than its price suggests and gets less thought than almost anything else in the wardrobe. Most men wear the style they were wearing at nineteen, chosen by a flatmate's opinion or a television advert, and have never seriously asked whether it suits their body, their trousers or what they do all day. Every style here gets a proper case made for it, because every style is right for somebody. Where the evidence exists it gets cited, and where it does not, the article says "no data found" rather than inventing some.

How we handle claims

Where a piece cites a study, the study is named and its limits are stated. Where a story is folklore, it is labelled folklore. Health topics are treated carefully and nothing here is medical advice. If something on the site is wrong, it should be corrected rather than defended.
