Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.
What that means in practice
Some product mentions on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway.
What it does not mean
No brand pays for a recommendation here, and no brand sees an article before it is published. Products are chosen because they suit the argument of the piece. Where a cheap product is the right answer, the article says so, and several articles on this site actively tell you not to spend money.
Where the links go
Affiliate links are marked in the text and carry rel="sponsored nofollow", which is what search engines ask for and what honest disclosure looks like in markup rather than just in prose.
Amazon
Where relevant, this site participates in retailer affiliate programmes including the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites.
